Trying to find the Military records (Army Service Corps) commissiant and transport
Division for Henry Vincent Palmer with no success.

At least 70% of WW1 records were destroyed in WW2 bombing. It may be that his is amongst them.

Could you give a few more details about him please - yob, where born or lived, service number if you have it. Then we can double check for you .

Unless he lied about his age, he may have been too young to enlist in WW1. If he was in service after 1920, his records would still be with the MOD.

Henry Vincent was born abt 1857 in London Bow.

He married. Ellen Evans in Rahan Mallow Ireland abt 1878

They were stationed in Cork, Dover and Canterbury.

When his Army career was over he retired to the Thanet area.

Harry Vincent could easily be his son.

Do you know when he retired? I can't imagine it being after 1920, but you never know!
