Please can anyone help me locate my Grandfathers military records, all I am able to find is the medal index cards transcription. He served in WW1 as a gunner in the Royal Field Artillery his service number was 147503. he lost an eye |

Unfortunately 70% of first world war service records were destroyed in a fire so they may not exist any more. |

As he lost an eye, perhaps he received a pension. The Western Front Association hold pension cards so they might have something on him. They charge £25, whether a record is found or not |
