I have my Grandfathers discharge paper. It was discharge No4813 PrivateSecB Company Reserve 13th Hussars. Attested at London 6th October 1891 for the 4th Hussars. regiment aged 22. He was in the Army for 11yrs, 196 days. plus reserve 196 days Total 12yrs.
he was awarded medals as follows S.G Campaign 1899-1902 Queens Medal with clasp.0.7Slat. Transval. He was awarded further medals/medal but I have got a job to read it.
Discharged the Service London 5th October 1903.
Has anybody any idea where his medals are displayed. I thought his Son Basil Guest had his displayed with his but I have been to the Aldershot War Museum and they can't help me. ( He later lived and died in Farnborough Hants ).
