hi
i was watching a rerun of Who Do You Think You Are and the "star" had a death certificate of a soldier
can i get them and how do i go about getting them for my fallen

Have you found the death entry on any index?

Findmypast has military deaths, you can then buy the cert from the GRO

If you don't have access then post the details and someone may have a look for you

Added, What do you expect the death cert to tell you? Most military death certs from soldiers who died in action simply say died of wounds

i didnt know soldiers killed in ww1 had death certificates
so its just like getting a normal certificate then?

soldiers were advised to make a will and if one exists it should be listed and will be available to download

Death certificates of soldiers who died in the first world war don't often give a lot of information. The cause of death is likely to be either "Killed in Action" or "Died of Wounds".

For war deaths, Scottish & English d.certs are very similar.
There are free examples of war returns from Boer War, WW1 & WW2 registers at:
