Hi,
I was wondering whether anyone might be able to help me. I am seeking military information of:

Ralph William Homan.

There are two US WWI Draft Registration Cards listed on the Ancestry website for Ralph William Homan, and each list a different location.

1. city, Washington, District of Columbia
2. city, Berks, Pennsylvania

It is the information listed on these two Draft Cards that I require.

I subscribe to Ancestry.co.uk but do not have the World edition, if anyone has access and could please do a look up for me, I would be most grateful.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
Many thanks.

Lin.

Hi,
Many thanks for that. Perfect, you're a star!

The one who was with the war department sounds hopeful, that tallies in with the information I have.
Can you add any more to the info, anything additional (including WW2) would be great.

Also, would you be happy to send copies of the Draft Cards so that they can be added to the family file?

Many thanks for loking for me and for the info you have found, it's brilliant!

Lin.

Images sent by PM. Also the 1910 census for the Washington one, in case you don't have it - shows parents Samuel J (Pennsylvania) and mother Lina M born Germany immigration year 1868.

Hi!

Thank you very much for the images Flip, they are much appreciated, as is your help. You've been brilliant.

Thanks also to MarieC for the heads up regarding WWI Draft Cards being available on FamilySearch - I wasn't aware that they were there. Thanks also the taking the time to search the records for me, that was most kind of you.
The man I was searching for was the Stenographer who worked for the War Dept, born in Washington. He married a lady who was also a stenographer, she travelled repeatedly between the UK and the USA over many years.
We can now begin to piece all the info together.

Thank you so very much for your kind help, it was much appreciated Flip and MarieC, you've both been brilliant and you're both stars!

Lin.

Hi Lin, according to his army records and his baptism (above) he was actually born Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The 1930 census has her as Joyce M age 34 - born England, mother English, not sure but looks lke her father born Pennsylvania. Imigration 1920.

Also an incoming passenger list 12/8/53 has them both, intended address c/o Dewey, East Witterington, Sussex - so looks like you were right with the names MC.

Added, strange though when she arrived in US in 1920 she was going by the name of Emily Joyce Dewey, a stenographer.
