I am in possession of a medal from the Great War for Civilization dated 1914-1919.
It is inscribed with the following :- 142076 Gnr. J.D. Driver. R.A.
I have searched military records without trace and I have also sent an email to the Royal Artillery and offered them the medal but I have not received a reply.
If any ancestor of this gentleman contacts me and they can prove their relationship to him then I will gladly return this medal to them free of charge.

I presume you have seen this medal card on Ancestry

Name: James D Driver
Regiment or Corps: Royal Garrison Artillery, Kings Royal Rifle Corps, Tr Bn, Royal Engineers
Regimental Number: 142076, R/23705, 5/84885, 368396

I am wondering if he is James Dixon Driver born 1897, as there is a possible Army service record in that name

If you have access to Ancestry then there is a possible probate and marriage for him
