	You've not said which branch of the military he served, but generally these records are not in the public domain, still held by the appropriate authority. See these links which explains. https://www.gov.uk/requests-for-personal-data-and-service-records This link is for the Army http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/army.html They can take 9 months to get them, and can cost £30-00 George
