Was he in the second world war? If so his army records will still be with the M.O.D.

You will have to prove your relationship and the records cost £30 and take quite a long time to arrive - anything from 6 months to a year.

can anyone help my grandad was in the army mum said the 8th army was in eygpt for 5 years he was born in 1905 in stratford thanks
