Found nothing on Ancestry military records other than his medal card.

British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920
about Edward G Palfrey

Name:
Edward G Palfrey

Regiment or Corps:
2nd Grenadier Guards

Regimental Number:
12827

However the Guards regiments kept their own records, so if they exist that's who will have them.

But to have search done it will cost you £33-00, which is non refundable, even if nothing is found.

Have a look at this link. Gives all the info etc.

Raymond, Mary doesn't appear to be a frequent user of the community boards so is unlikely to see your post

Click on her board name and send her a personal message (PM),

GR will then send her an email letting her know that she has a message

Mary - click on Raymond's name and send him a message off-board. It's probably more reliable/quicker than waiting for him to check for new posts on your thread.
