Assuming the marriages found by Wendy are correct, you can search for possible children on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

Use the father's surname and the mothers maiden name and a year range.

Hi Susan,
There is a marriage for a Lilian E. M. Giles in Romford Essex in 1934 4th qtr 4A p.1286 - she married Frederick Abbott. Regarding Edward Henry, there is a marriage in 1940 in Aldershot to a Catherine Brown but there are one or two Edward Hs in BMD. Hope this helps.
