Can anyone give me any information on Edward Henry Giles born 1889 in Ireland, married to Lillian Sherriff January 1914, their first child was Lilian Edith Mary born 1914 when Edward was an Acting Bombardier in the RGA in Plymouth, there was another child Leonard born 1917 but Edward was not the father, and their final child again Edward Henry was born January 1920 when Edward was a Battery Sergeant Major in the RGA. After this time I cannot trace anything else about him. When Leonard married in 1942 his father on the marriage certificate was mentioned as Edward Henry and was deceased. So I have 22 years of nothing. Edward on the 1911 censes was a Gunner with the RGA in Jamaica . Can anyone help me . Susan

If he carried on in the Army after 1920, his records might still be with the MOD.

Do you know his exact dob?

There's this death - he could have been 'dead to the family' if there were marital problems.
