You won't find anything online at the National Archives. You would need to go there or get someone to go for you. |

Am trying to trace origins of Richard Raymond who went out to India in the 1870s/1880s with the 2nd Batt S Wales Borderers. Born c1853. He was a L/Sgt in 1883 when he married. Family story is that he was Irish but I can’t find any trace. Marriage cert says his father was James Raymond. SWB have no record of him but he couldn’t have put incorrect information on marriage and children’s birth certificates in a small cantonment. Any help gratefully received. |
