Good evening. My DIL is looking for her Uncle, Terence Donovan born in Essex in 1960, last known Cork Ireland. His Brother wants to contact him. Many thanks.

That may well be a difficult name to research. However, cork city council have an online search for their electoral rolls.

When was he ‘known’ to have been in Cork? Could he have married in England or in Cork?

The only Terence Donovan born in Essex in 1960 has the middle initial G, which may help to narrow it down a little - though not necessarily all records will include the middle initial.

For what it's worth, I don't see the marriage or death of any Terence G Donovan in England/Wales/Scotland.
Also none on Electoral Rolls in England/Wales/Scotland/Ireland, with YOB 1960+/-2, as far as ERs on GR are concerned.

But without the G it's a very common name.

Researching:
Old genealogists never die.....they just lose their census.

What has been done so far by the people wishing to trace this man?

What do they know about him other than DoB and his being in Cork at some unspecified time?
