Hi all,
I'm looking for my birth mother born 1944 Sheila Rose Phillips/Slater in Skerton Lancaster, She married my Dad in 1963 Terrance (Terry) Patrick Mckevitt ,
The last contact I had with her I had was probably the early 70's and she was living in Horbury near Wakefield. I know she remarried in 1987 to James Wilson.

Thank you for all the replies, I already have all that information from Sheila's early years.its a very complicated story as Mary Jane was married to Harry Slater who had children, Edward,Mary,Dorothy. Abraham Phillips was a lodger at 2 main st and the father of Abraham,John, Ivan and Sheila (my mother).
Young Abraham died age 1yr old when a wall fell on him.I have newspaper clippings from the time, Harry Slater was away with the Army at the time (RAOC),
I also have newspaper clippings of family conflict between Abraham and Edward and Dorothy.
The story I have is quite a turbulent one in Main street, Lancaster in the late 40's to 50's.
