Hi, I'm searching for living relatives of Elphinstone Webber who was born in India in 1884.
He was my grand uncle.

Edit. He is on three trees as well as your own look at Search/ search all members trees. He is also on trees on Ancestry but no one has added any details other than his name and birth.

Elphinstone Grant Webber was baptised in Vepery, so it's likely that he was born in Madras.
He and his brother Lewis Henry Webber left Madras for Malaya around 1910.
Elphinstone had two sons, Bernard and Lawrence.
Bernard resided in Kuala Lumpur while Lawrence was in Penang.
Elphinstone passed away in Penang in 1946.
There isn't much more that we know about him.
His brother Lewis Henry Webber was my grandfather.
I have been searching for his birth record without any success.

The reference to FHL film refers to the films by the Church of Latter Day Saints. Probably found through search on the Family Search website .

GR members Nigel Bishop and Marina Gaudoin have mention Elphinstone Webber in their family trees. I have attempted to contact them here on GR but got no reply. Not sure if they are still active members.

Presumably, you know when the sons were born?
One would imagine they are now deceased, in view of their father's birth year

If they have kept their same email address Genes will notify them. If they have opened the message the coloured envelope will go.
It can take quite a while to get a response.

It may be worth while taking out a trial or short sub to Ancestry so you can contact the tree holders on there as well.

You may not find a birth certificate if his birth wasn’t registered at the British embassy

His baptism however does give his actual birth date so that may all you will find

He's on 6 public trees on Ancestry.
Only one provides a link to the baptism record already posted on here.
None have anything about him except the DOB given on the baptism record.

Sometimes one has to accept that the record one would like to find simply isn't in existence.
