Searching for Andrew Bosson

I’m searching for Andrew Bosson born Kingston Upon Thames in 1969 and last name likely to be different now. Andrew was in the RAF during the 1990s.

Welcome to the boards Richard.

Are you saying that Andrew was adopted? We cannot access adoption records, only Andrew can do that.

If you are a birth relative then you can probably add your name to the adoption register.

Looking at FreeBMD, his mother may have married in 1971, and possibly remarried in the 1980s.

As you only mention a change of surname, did Andrew remain with his mother?

EDIT:
Have now sent Richard details of the mother's possible marriages, in response to a PM.
He thinks he and Andrew may be related.

How do you know he was in the forces?

Shirley -

Andrew wrote letters to a now deceased member of Richard's family while in the RAF. His surname is not on the letters. Richard has never met him.
(From a PM)

As said in earlier post, at Richard's request I've PMd him details of possible/probable marriages (several) of Andrew's mother. Also now sent her probable death in 2008.

These might have led to a change of surname for Andrew, even if he wasn't adopted.

IF Andrew now has the surname from his mother's first marriage, there are possibilities on ERs in several different places - Lancashire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Worcester, Leicestershire, Humberside, to name just some .

He is in a GR tree............contact the owner with a carefully-worded message

Yes, I've seen he's in a GR tree, I've contracted the owner but the email's not been read.

Give it time....................

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 10 May 2021 14:09

Sometimes it takes ages (months, even) for people to reply to messages, and sometimes they don't reply at all, for many reasons, such as no longer being members of GR, not informing GR of a change of email address, illness, death, or just losing interest in family history research.

GR never deletes a tree.
