Hello,

I'm not sure if anyone would be able to help with the person being from the USA.

But we have a family member (passed away now), who would have been connected with Jeanette Sullivan, then married to a Gerald Payne and they had a daughter called Betty Payne.

Betty was born in 26th Oct 1930, I think her middle name was Jean. They did also have a son called Napoleon M Payne but he is already passed away. I can't find anything for Betty so i'm presuming she could still be alive?

I'm really hoping to get some help, if Betty is still alive or if theres any relatives/spouse/children that Betty has or had?! Or even anything on Napoleon (he's passed away though so i probably need to ask about him on the other community column)

I appreciate any help. Alot of relatives have passed away now and i'm hoping to find a living relative, I have so many questions! :-)

Rose - thank you for the Obituary, I have no idea if this could be the Betty I am looking for, but I have contacted the people who arranged the funeral to see if it could be a match, just incase.

Mistycat & ArgyllGran - Thank you, I have never found a marriage for Betty! Does it give you any indication if they had children? I'm presuming the Janette is the "Jeanette Payne", which is Bettys mother. Jeanette had some very interesting stories. The whole link to this search is because Jeanette was married to Robert Dunn (our blood relation), and she shot him dead. We don't know anyone alive who could give us information so our next best thing is hopefully Jeanettes children, if any are still living.

Who is Suliden Gerutta? I'm sorry, I don't understand some of the matches and how the Sullivans are in relation to the others. I think I need to get my full tree up so it makes sense to me! :( :)

I can't believe Napoleon didn't marry or have children!! I do wonder what life he had.. I wanted to try and find photographs for them all but I guess the family tree for Napoleon doesn't go much further.

Suliden Gerutta is just a very bad mistrancription of Genetta Sullivan - which is itself a mis-spelling of Janetta or Janette.

On the original document William Graham's name, and that of his wife, is wriitten with the first name second, and the surname first - Graham, William..

The children's names, however, are written with the surname second, but the transcriber has assumed they've been written the same way as the parents, and has therefore ended up with Sullivan Genetta.

To be fair, the handwriting isn't easy to decipher, and I had the advantage of knowing what the names should be.

Genetta/Janette and William L are, as it says, the grandchildren of William Graham and his wife.

William Graham and wife are the parents of Mattie Graham who is Janette/Jeanette's mother.

Thank you. It is all very confusing! I've been looking into this every few days to make sense of it! I've seen Cornelia Perry on here somewhere who married William I think? But does it say anywhere at all that Cornelia also married a Robert Dunn?

I don't see any definite record of Cornelia later than 1940.
