I think you need George and Beatrice's marriage cert, to find out his occupation and their ages, and fathers' names, so that we can look further back in the Hall and Mckennan lines.

In 1911 (if they were still in England) there are several George Halls with wives named Beatrice.

The Scottish 1911 census posted above looks promising - but you'd need to view the image of the original document on SP (6 credits) to see the full details - places of births, etc..
