The address of the Catherine who travelled to Canada in 1955 (record posted above) was 19 Lomond Street, Greenock.

I hadn't posted the DOB in case she is still living.

Her birth was registered in Greenock East, though of course you can't get a copy of the cert at the moment.

Assuming the family had lived in that area for some time ( there are still Dorrians in Greenock today) , this is just a wild guess at her father as a child:
