Trying to find my father or anyone that may know him or anyone that might have any other information about him or any other family i might have. Researching my heritage and possible unknown relations.
Looking for:
John Anthony Gibney
born circa 1950 in Liverpool
His fathers name is James Gibney

Would have lived in Broadfield Crawley definitely in 1986-1987 maybe before or after that.
May have been in the army
Worked in a bakery in the area

His second marriage was in July 1986 in Crawley, divorced from this marriage in 1987 (details of first marriage unknown)

You seem to have him twice in your tree, and also somebody called Mary has him in her tree.
Is Mary someone you know? If not, have you contacted her to see if she knows anything?

A John A Gibney, birth c1950, was at an address in Liverpool 2002-2016, per the Electoral Roll.

Look at Electoral Rolls under Search at top of this page.

It might be worth writing to that address, as he may have opted out of the public ER and still be there.

Of course, this may be a completely different man - but I don't see the birth of any other John A Gibney in or near 1950.

Her mother had been married before she married John Gibney

A member named Mary seems to have him in her GR tree

He's on the ER, as AG said, to 2016

The address has not been sold since that year

This would appear to be his eldest sister's death

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has commented and helped.
I have searched all tree's on here and unfortunately the John Gibney on Mary's tree was the only one to come up and i have confirmed with her it isn't the one i'm looking for.

I have also searched records on here and freembd, thats where i got the estimated year of birth from.

I do believe the John Gibney with the parents James Gibney and Ann O'Hara seems the most likely to be the right person.

My Mother was married before John. and on my mother and Johns marriage certificate it does say that his previous marriage was dissolved, suggesting he was also married beforehand.

I will keep looking and go back over things with some of your suggestions, thank you again. :)
