What have you actually done to try to identify possible descendants of James Agnew’s siblings?

Do you know the other GR member who has him in her tree?

Thank you, I have traced the family back to 1735 but have not been able to find any living relatives, I must have cousins somewhere, my nephew is very keen to get in touch with any of them as he loves family history, he actually has a tatoo of the silver star on his arm..

I realise you may not be looking for historical info, but I've got plenty of time on my hands and couldn't resist the temptation to do some digging

It is also often helpful to go back, in order to then work forward.

Witnesses William Agnew of 25 Donaldson Crescent and Grace Agnew of 44 Townhead Street

His birth registration from a free search on https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

As the birth is under 100 years ago you would have to send for the certificate through the site - (unavailable at present time.)

You can also check for free for other possible Agnew births in the Stevenson RD but as Scottish records don't allow you to look with Mother's maiden name then you would need certificates to be sure. There are names of those possible siblings you mention. Those born pre 1920 you can buy credits and look at the certificate content.
£7.50 for 30 credits - 6 credits per certificate look up.

Hi, looking to trace any family members connected to James Agnew,, born Feb 1921 , formerly of Stevenson, Ayrshire, possibly had siblings, Jean(ie), David, Robert, William and Alexander, not really sure these are all correct as had no contact since 1950s, I know I had a cousin Gwen but not sure who her parents were, looking more for the younger generation as they Know no one from there grandfathers side ( they never met him as he split from my mother when we were children ) he was the first ?british soldier to win the American silver cross medal in ww2 , Thank you
