Could anyone please help, I'm trying to find living relatives of my great great grandfather Absolom Briggs, he established the Briggs family Tripe business in 1898 (from Halifax Yorkshire to Newton Heath Manchester? one of his sons Fred was my greatgrandad (my grandad was Leslie Briggs he worked in the Briggs Tripe works with my Dad Paul and Uncle Peter). I know my grandad Leslie grew up in the family shop on Church Street Newton Heath with his brother(who I think may have also been called Fred Briggs) and sisters.
My Uncle Peter started in the family Tripe firm at 15 in 1953, so my Dad Paul would have been 14.My grandad Leslie passed away in about 1975/76.I found out my Uncle Peter was helping running the Briggs family Tripe works in the 1960s.They also had another shop in Blackley village Manchester
