Davey Jones- Biological grandfather

I am looking for my biological grandfather. My late father was adopted in 1964 and his biological mother refused to give us any information on his father. I am aware they met in ST Athens in South Wales around about 1963 where he was in the RAF as a dog handler- I think he would be 70 years old roughly. I have been given the name Davey jones as my grandfathers name but whether this is accurate or not it is unknown, also he was referred to as ‘taffy’ |

There are literally hundreds of David Jones born Wales at around the probable time. If you have no more info than posted I would say the only possibility of finding him is through DNA testing, which might come up with a match to relatives? |
