Find Living Relatives

I am looking for any living relatives of Robert Douglas Hardie.
He was my maternal grandfather. I always thought he was born in Scotland but it may have been in St Pancreas in London.
I know he married my grandmother in Jersey, Channel Islands in 1915 and my mum was born in Jersey in 1919.
All I know is that he took my mum and grandmother to live in the UK in Coventry and he returned to India to rejoin his regiment. this was approx 1926/27 and that was when they last heard about him.
I can find a Robert Douglas Hardie on the 1939 register but he was married to someone else in the Coventry area. My mum returned to Jersey before the war started and my grandmother went to live with her sister in Winchester (1939 register).
Hoping someone can help me solve this mystery. Neither my mum or grandmother would talk about things!

After such a long time it’s possible he may have obtained a divorce so was able to remarry

I would be inclined to get the marriage cert to May to see his marital status and who he named as his father
