There's more than one marriage which might be Elizabeth's, pre-1896, and more than one John or Mary Evans/Lewis birth.

It's hard to pinpoint the children's births, in order to try following them into marriage and parenthood. They don't have unusual names.

For instance, there are four births of boys named Thomas Lewis, with mms Lewis, in Merthyr Tydfil reg district 1889-1891.

Just for ref the marriage cert is on Find my past which gives Rachel's age as 20 father John occupation Smith, and John Lewis of full age father James.

Hi Mina , have you tried searching trees by clicking on 'Search' at top of page? Have you found the couple on a census and did they have children?

Are there any people from John and Rachel Lewis. They were married in 1859 in Breconshire. John Lewis was of full age and Rachel Lewis was 20. Both of them had the name Lewis when they got married.
