Find Living Relatives

Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me I'm new to all this. I'm 30years old and trying to find 1 sister who is 34 this year, and 2brothers, one who has turned 34 and the other one is 32years old. The hardest bit is they was adopted when they was young and they won't have any idea of me as me being younger than them. I don't know if there last names will have been changed or full name so now I'm at my wits end as have no family whatsoever and I would love to meet my full siblings, I know there names but they will have likely been changed. Have you looked to see if anyone has added your mutual parent's name to their tree on here? or their own birth names?

Hi thanks for getting back in touch with me, yeah I've done that and no one has added my parents with mine, I don't know if there name has changed though with being taken straight from birth thankyou x

All I know is one is called Craig Andrew Lyons born in 1987, alison Elizabeth Lyons born in 1985 and Michael Daniel Lyons born in 1985.

Their names will not be the same as they were at birth.

You say you have no family - does that mean that both of your parents have died? And that neither of them had siblings?

Records show a birth of a boy younger than you.

Ok thanks so much Erika H. That's what I thought about the last names. Our dad has died but my mum is still alive. I don't speak to my mum but all I know is ther 3 siblings I'm looking for got adopted and I didn't and the 3 I am looking for are my full siblings

The younger boy is my brother who didn't get adopted too! Us 2 stayed with my mum and my stepdad, that's all I know I'm so confused and hurt that I can't get to find these x

Someone named Ian seems to have you in his tree on here. Have you tried to make contact?

I doubt that Ian is closely connected, as he was born Australia.

Michael D is also registered as Leverington, as is another child born 1982, do you know if she is connected? Note she is registered under 2 surnames, you can see them on https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Thankyou so much for that information. I've just checked and yeah he has been registered under Lyons and leverington for some reason didn't know till that till now

Wow that is weird as she has registered him under 2 different names

Well usually that means that the parents weren't married but the father is named on birth certificates

My parents where married and our mum is only on our birth certificates no dad is mentioned

Michael was born before the marriage, which was in the 3rd quarter, so is reg in both surnames.

You need to register on the Adoption contact register, and also read the info there re using an intermediary.
