Are you looking for ancestors etc ?

There's a very good group on Facebook that you can join and members on there who are very helpful

One member has broken the brick wall of my grandfathers German family which I am delighted with !

Welcome to the boards, Irene.

We're assuming your grandparents came to the UK - or are you talking about some other country?

Ancestry also has quite a lot of Schwingen records for England/Wales - several in 1911 census, and lots in later Electoral Rolls.
A few deaths from 1909 onwards, some marriages from 1895 onwards, and births from 1900 onwards

The BMD's are of course also on FreeBMD.

German records on Ancestry (re people named Schwingen) go back to the 1850's.
(Also some older but undated records.)

Findmypast has a number of records relating to Schwingen (no s) in the UK.

If you can give us a few more details, such as their names, YOB & when they came to this country, we might be able to suggest some leads.

It's unlikely anyone will just know of them

Try looking in members trees to see if anyone has the name in their tree

If you see a tree you can try and make contact by sending a message through the find out more box

The name isn't coming up in any uk records

Edit meant FreeBMD records
