Yes I am but confused with the possibilities thrown up.. i think it’s worth getting two certs to see tho! 1944 and 1962.. thanks for your help. :-)

Have had a better look and the 3 index records noted do relate to one 1944 registration. There looks to have been a late change or addition to it.

Can't see there was any additions to that 1944 birth. Nothing is cross referenced to it on the record

The dif in spelling of Astin is just that ,maybe a typing error

It won't affect the cert as it's best to order it in the surname of Clayton anyway

There is however this marriage that could be the parents

Marriages Sep 1944
ASTON Samuel Clayton Bilston 6b 1188a
CLAYTON Elizabeth Aston 6b 1188a

Shirley Thanks - but no that is not the marriage. There wasn’t a marriage between them. (Confusing as 1944 is the birth date not mrg date.) Interesting the Aston link.

Notes on the bmd site do indicate there has been additions to the original cert. that’s why it’s listed 3x. I will probably get the altered cert as it will contain the original info regd. as well.

Think Shirley is saying the birth you found in 1944 Bilston, could be the Daughter from the Aston / Clayton Marriage in 1944

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Report 27 Oct 2018 18:08

There is a possible marriage for that birth in Bilston in 1965

Elizabeth yes OK, that was my second thought.. but the name change [on the 1944 birth reg.] is to Astin from Aston. So AstOn is a bit of red herring.. maybe!

Yes this could be a different trail altogether.. with similar names.
Will do a search again for records on here..

I'd be inclined to think it was the 1962 birth. The only marriage under that name isn't for the correct Denise as she has a different birth year.

I’m intrigued (and a little confused) by your comment Rose, can you tell me more about that please? Please would PM me?

Thanks
