Looking for descendants of Edward Maddison and Matilda who lived in Hamilton area in Newcastle, NSW. Either from Edward and Tilly or Edwards siblings. I have photos and keepsake which may be of interest. Eve Wright

Hi Erika, yes that is the family I am searching for. My grandmother was Alice Maud Vogt younger sister of Matilda who was my mother's favourite Aunty Tilly. My mother Ivy Florence Buchan was eldest daughter of Alice and Aunty Tilly and Uncle Eddie lived around the corner from us when we lived in Gordon Avenue. I used to visit them and loved seeing Uncle Eddie's white fantail doves. He used to walk to Steggles store on the corner of Hunter Street and Tudor Street regularly to buy bird seed. He was almost bent double by the time I knew him in the mid to late 50s. Also by that stage Aunty Tilly was bedridden with osteoarthritis - which seems to be a problem in the family. I have had 3 joints replaced, my mother also and her brother had 2 joint replacements. How are you connected??
