According to a tree on ancestry Eliza married John Bird (c1830) 25 May 1853 at St Mary the virgin, Ardleigh. So what is the connection to Charles, and when was he born? |

Charles Holdaway was the father of Amy Darrell Holdaway who married my 2G/F Oliver Cromwell Bird ( I have a photo of their wedding,) but can't find anything on Charles, on Amy & Oliver's marriage cert 1876, it shows Charles as Deceased complete blank on her parents as for Charle's age. Amy was 24 when she married so looks like she was born in 1852.Oliver's parents was John Bird & Eliza Nicholos |

Looking at the marriage certificate on ancestry, it looks like her name was Amy Doyrell Holdaway rather than Darrell. |

The tree Maddie refers to is not substantiated & I don't believe it to be the right family. Like Maddie says that Charles was still alive when Amy married, and she didn't appear with the family on any census. I think the tree owner has assumed her parentage because of the place of birth from the census. |
