I am looking for a first cousin of mine, Robert Edward Dixon, known as Bobby. He was born in 1944 in Glossop area. His parents were Edward (Ted) Dixon and Barbara nee Mills. Thanks and hoping for some success.

Where did his parents live? Their marriage was in Surrey.

When did you last have contact with Robert? Where was he living at the time?

I have never had contact with Robert/Bobby or indeed his father Uncle Ted.
Myself, my sister and one cousin,(son of Daisy) are all of the same generation and none of us have ever known anything of him. His dad cut himself off from the family in the late 40s/50s I believe. I don't know what went on between the siblings and don't need to know really, but would like news of Bobby....i wouldn't do it all the time that my Mum was alive and she was the last of her siblings to pass away......unless of course Ted is still alive. Its such a shot in the dark. Another sibling, Ellen Lavinia, had married a cousin, Francis White. That didn't last and she went out nursing in Australia and Ted went out to join her. In the 70s, he wrote to Daisy asking about his Dad who had died in 1958. Never heard again! I hope this isn't too much info on such a thread!
