well the day has come at long last and its been a long time coming,,,, it was just after christmas the 28th of Dec i received an email from the state library of Nsw informing me that they have found kenneth gordan robert carroll to be living at 17 Shelley Street Brassall Qld 4305 queensland . great only to find kenneth had moved out of his house in brassall queensland in march 2017 wow i was right on kenneths back foot here and i was so close now so i did some digging around on the internet and i soon found the real estate agent who sold the houes to kenneth carroll back in 2007 and soon found out that kenneth carrolls house was indeed rented out from march 2017 so may be kenneth is now the landlord and the real estate agent manages the property for kenneth so i sent an email to the ral estate agent asking for any help in my secrch i soon got an email back saying if i was to forwould my number on they would try and pass it on to kenneth gordan robert carroll for me . yes i did send my email and number over to the real astate agent in brisbane queensland . on the 29th of Dec. and from den nothing so i emailed the state library of queensland for an upto date address for kennerh carroll if they could find one for me and i am still waiting to here back from the qld state library over this . but in the mean time .... i woke up on sunday morning only to find ...i had got an email from australia YES it was form the one and only missing Robert Carroll and his lovely wife Catherine Carroll there both still alive an well living in Coffs Harbour on the East Coast of Australia now we have been in touch every day now since sunday and i am going to see my mum on tursday morning to tell her ias i cant wait to see mums face after all this time and i am going to ring boby on thursday morning so bobby na mum can have a catch up i have chatted to bobby carroll and he does tell me it has been a long time steve and i have thought of the family back home but could never find a way to find you all steve it was indeed some 50 yrs ago i last seen your mum she was only 16/18 the last time i seen your mum steve.wow well theres nothing more to do now but to catch on on the lost time from here on in .. so i just thought i would let you all know at genes reunited that the long lost Carrol family have now all been found ,,, SO I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ONE LADY HERE FOR ALL HER HELP SHE AS GIVEN ME AND SHE IS VALERIE ,,,THANK YOU SO SO MUCH YOU WAS A VERY BIG HELP THNK YOU VALERIE x steve

The 'Qld State Library' should soon find latest address for Kenneth -then you will be on the right track in finding his parents. You're nearly there!

update so far.. well after doing some thinking i contacted the state library of nsw once more asking if they could please look on there electoral rolls for a MR an MRS Catherine Mcdougal Carroll and Robert Carroll . as this is the two i am looking for and with a middle name like Mcdougal they had to be somewhere in nsw as all i know was Robert and his wife was last living at 20 Amundsen street.nsw Mt Druitt Tregear blacktown .. and wow i got a response from the state library of nsw . saying that there have found a Catherine Mcdougal Carroll and Robert Carroll both residing at 26 Hunter Ave, Cessnock, NSW, 2325 in 2010 .... but i have now found out Robert and his wife sold up and moved once more in oct 2010 , wow i am now on his back foot as i am only 8 yrs behind them now when i started this i know nothing from 1966 , them it jump to finding him and his famil yon the electoral rolls for 1980 in australia and it stopped there but now i am upto 2010 wow hopfully i will some how find him if i could just find out where hes now moved to,, i am still waiting on a response from the State Library of Queensland, regarding there son Kenneth Robert Gordan Carroll living in queensland requesting if they know of a upto date address for Kenneth from march 2017 as he also moved but never sold his house its now rented out , kenneth cant be hard to find now , thinking thinking thinking as anyone any iders from here ?

thank you valerie for all you work i have done what you siad and contacted the QLD state library and just waiting to here back now . and i have asked them if they could please look for his mum an dad ..Robert Carroll.. an. catherine Mcdougall Carroll just need to wait now but i am more tham hopefull that the carrolls will now be found very soon .. once more thank you valerie

Contact the 'QLD State Library' (on-line) it (also) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service - they will check their electoral rolls -and trace Kenneth from that address.

well at last i have some very good news Kenneth Gordan Robert Carroll has been found on the 2008 electoral rolls and hes been found to be living at,,, Shelley St
Brassall QLD 4305 Australia .. i have been told to go and contact the Australian Electoral Commission to see if they will look for kenneth on the most recent electoral rolls ,,,can anyone tell me what is the most recent electoral roll i could ask them to look at for me ..any help here would i really be so greatfull of any help whats so ever here many thanks for you time reading ...steve

aww valerie i really hope so i really do as my mum last seen her cousin in 1959 they had baby .Christine m. carroll born 1958 with them and my mum has never seen him since that day but knew he had gone to australia from what the family told her . robert himself keap in tuch with his mum and family in scotland but sadley his mum .my mums anty passed away and robert has no ider my mum the lady he onec know as is cousin ellen has been looking for him for a very long now so i really do hope it works for out this as i would really love to see her face if i find robert or his family .... meny thanks for your help valerie ..

Thanks i have been in tuch with the 'Ask a Librarian' service at 'NSW State Library' (on-line). and yes i found the entry cards on NAA few months back now thats give me the year and dates plus if give us the childrens names aswell who would all be grown up now it would be amazing for the family if i would find them one day meny thans steve

Have sent you a 'pm' suggesting you contact the 'Ask a Librarian' service at 'NSW State Library' (on-line).
The 'National Archives of Aus' (on-line) shows the family's arrival in 1966 and gives their FULL names - in particular their son Kenneth has 2 'middle names' -which should make him easier to find.

Carrolls NSW Australia....hi can anyone please help me here i am looking for my mums cousin who she has not seen for over 50 years now my mum is 77 yrs old now .. the family i we are looking for is the family of Robert carroll who move to australia on the 7th of dec 1966 with his wife and six children under the passage migration scheme. we do know he went to live in a town called Blackstown nsw and of leter yrs we found he and his family on the 1980 voting rolls for nsw in australia live in a town called Mt Druit on 20 Amundsen street.nsw .. and now we have no ider where robert and his family are living in australia robert was in tuch with his sisters son robert thompsom back here in uk 10 years ago now and no ones know any more and i have been helping my mum with her family tree now for six years and just need to fine mum long lost cousin and his family,,,
