As Nyx suggested, I searched the family tree for Doris Pickavance. So much has happened since then. The owner of the tree, my new found cousin, has provided a wealth of information and has sent many family photos including of my father’s mother, Emily May, who I originally requested information on. She has sent some beautiful photos of Wales as well. It makes me want to hop on a plane and go. My brother and I are quite emotional about finding family on my father’s side after all these years. So thanks for your help everyone. You’ve made this Canadian girl very happy.

Looking for relatives of Emily May Oakley born 1892 in Montgomeryshire, Shropshire, England. My father, William Norman Oakley, born in 1916 in Oswestry, Shropshire was her son. There is no father's name on his birth certificate. He lived in a cottage for homeless children and as a teenager, was sent to Quebec, Canada as one of the British Home Children to work on a farm. Looking forward to any reply.
