I am looking on behalf of his son for relatives of Jose Enrique Murguia y Arrizabalaga who was one of the Basque Children who came to England in 1937 fleeing the Spanish Civil War.

I know all the details you have sent me. Thankyou . Yes he did die in 1949 and his death was registered by his then wife. His son Stuart is now looking for any living relatives in the Basque region of Spain. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

The transcription of the 1939 posted by Kath is not a good one.

She is a He and
along with many others is at the Sailors Home on Oxford Street - not at the Dolphin Hotel. It looks like many of the Ship's Company of S/Y Warrior were there.

Did his mother/father or any other relatives join him?
What was his father's name & occupation as per his marriage certificate?
If any if the witnesses are unknown, has your friend traced them forward to see if they are paternal relatives?
