I think Manuela may have to try to try this next. Not sure if she will be successful though as when I tried to obtain my own grandfathers Army records I had to fill out a declaration on behalf of my dad to say he was NOK etc (that was also difficult as my grandfather had never married my grandmother as he was already married to someone else) and wasn't on dads birth cert but as dad had the same first name and grandfathers surname had been given to dad as a second name we blagged it and were lucky!

As Manuela is not actually the daughter of Donald/ Ronald it may be more difficult but maybe worth a try.??

Yes This was just a 'is it possible' query so I didn't post on the original post. Sorry.

I only enclosed the details on this post in case anyone asked. I shall update the original post with the info I now have (original birth cert)

ok so I see there is info on Aussie & UK angels site , from Kim/Manuela.... is there no possibility of the regiment having kept some info on where the marriage took place, and where Ronald and Elizabeth went after that? Do you think they might be able to disclose it to an authorised intermediary?

Have you got the birth cert yet ? to confirm mmn?

We've tried to trace the parents but we think they may have separated and also they were an Army family and may not have come back to the UK. Their names are quite common too and I've tried to look at possible remarriages but too many to look at.

There is no trace on Electoral rolls for the parents names - together - if they remarried that's another matter...

the electoral rolls only give a rough idea of age, so no it wouldn't be possible

for instance if you search Stephanie born 1962 on erolls here you get "There are 69,776 results for "Stephanie" in Electoral Rolls" now not all would be relevant as they have middle initials.

If you know her parent's names it would probably be easier to trace them?

Please could anyone tell me if its possible to search UK electoral rolls or ANY site for that matter to trace someone from their First name only and date of birth?

The person I'm looking for was born Stephanie Greenwood Dec 1962 in Military Hospital at Catterick and birth registered Richmond Yorkshire in 1st qtr of 1963. I have all the birth details so do not require any of those.

We do know that the family moved around with the Army so she could be anywhere.

We do not know if she married hence looking or her under her First name and dob only??
