As far as I can tell both Herbert G junior and spouse Ivy died in Sussex 2006 and 2002 respectively

Deborah if you do find out that the Herbert who married King is Henry's brother, it's possible Herbert's daughter has a tree on here

I will send you some details

I'll get on the certificates asap. Hopefully it will all tie up.

I'm also meeting with my newly found Aunts and Uncles mid August. I hope Sandra will see me....she might have some answers.

I need to write down or start a tentative tree to save the records too and piece it all together in my mind, then see if the certificates match everything up. I might need some reminders. You have all been amazing!

I'm pretty sure I need to buy everyone dinner in a nice restaurant. I will check out the trees on here over the next few days and start to get my head clear.

Deborah- putting everything in a tree will make things clearer and easier to research. I use Ancestry as you can create as many trees as you want.

So you could have a tree with the information that you know to be correct and another for the Alexander family that is most likely. That way you can research the Alexanders without messing up the information you know is accurate.

Try and make a list of questions for when you meet the family- and take notes. Even if there are things that don't tie up and you're not sure their information is accurate- write it down, it may be useful later. However, don't expect too much- some people aren't as interested in digging up the past as you are.

Even though Henry is listed as Sandra's father, I think it's possible that Henry and Vera had split before her birth.

Nyx posted a possible marriage for Henry in 1949 to Miss Butler - if it is correct, then Henry is shown on the electoral register to be living with Miss Butler in Woolwich from 1947.

I found the tree that was spoken of and messaged the owner. I'm going to order the marriage cartificate for Henry and Miss Butler in 1949. If correct then it should list that he was divorced and the his father was a glass packer maybe.

It's a real eye opener for sure!

I wonder if Vera stayed with her sister Marjorie to have my father at their house in 1943. The address is where Vera went on to live with Herbert Sendall.
