I am trying to find my relatives who are in Scotland. My grandparents never really told me about the family back in scotland, My grandpa (George McGowan) 19th June 1937 and grandma (Anna Gordon White) 10th May 1938 got married in 1960, they had three children Ann-Marie, Linda and (Martin - my father). They moved to Australia in 1971, I know that my grandpas fathers name was Miles but sadly that's all I know , if there's someone out there who have either of my grandparents In their family and can help it would be greatly appreciated , |

No I was born in Australia but my dad, aunties and grandparents were born in Scotland, I have ordered my grandparents birth certificates off Scotlands People to find out my great grandparents names to see if it makes it easier |

i dont have any units to look at the info but births usually give the marriage date and place of the parents as well as their names |

think you need the marriage cert for ages etc for any more searches as it would be easy to follow the wrong family |

Found a George McGowan ( could be your Dad ) with 2 Isabella's and a Myles McGowan on the 1960 E.R on ancestry, living at Pensfield road, Craigton, Glasgow |
