Susan also added that request to another unrelated thread about Canada. |

Hi Susan, it would be much better to post your own thread than to add to Lynne's. |

I am trying to trace Nancy Lauren Dowad (nee Kent) married in September 1987 in West Vancouver United Church. |

A big thank you to everyone who helped with tracking down my Canadian relations, I wrote to Iris Horsman, and received an email and photo this evening. Can't tell you how happy I am. <3 :-D |

It certainly does seem as if the Hors'e'man spelling is incorrect |

Thank you looking through it, it looks as if there is also an address for Eileens son, worth giving it a try |

I am a little late to the party, but Iris is shown here in a photo in a 2012 newsletter: |

The sister Iris mentioned in Eileen's obituary is definitely the one whose contact details are on canada411, as posted earlier. |

A big thank you for all that helped, I looked at the obituary and sent an email to the funeral home, I'm hoping her husband is still living and that he or one of her children/grandchildren will get in touch. I only thought I had 7 relations in Canada, the obituary is fantastic, giving me the names of my cousins in Canada. My tree has grown a few more branches now. |

If you search http://www.canada411.ca for Iris Horsman (no "e" in the middle), you'll find the address and phone number for one who lives in New Brunswick. |

Thank you so much, didn't know she had any other children, only met auntie Ivy once as she visited from Canada, met at her sisters, and went with my granddad (her brother), he died when I was 12 in 1967 day before we went on holiday, so it would have been in 1965 or 1966 we saw her. I've a feeling it was more 1966. |

May married 1945 and as her name is open on the 1939 register, presumes she has since died. |

So, the other closed record in 1925 - probably May's twin Eileen. |

The address that John A and Ivy Goulding left UK from was 112 SANford Road - the same as the 1939 address. The last column on the page appears to have been handwritten (as country of intended future permanent residence) as England. |

This is the family in 1939 - 2 closed records - likely to be Iris and May's twin (with the possible son no longer at home?) |
