Long shot I'm aware, just don't know where to start, my dad told me on his death bed I have a brother he had a son before I was born, my dad since past my dad was born 4 September 1948 died march 2006, my half brother all I know is he was called Raymond not 100% on that he was born between 1975-1963 a guess he was born in Newcastle upon Tyne his mother stayed in Newcastle but Raymond moved on south I don't know area, I know long shot but all my relatives since past that I know of, my dad had a brother who passed in Newcastle before 2008 that's all I know don't know where to start.my dad was called Robert William Thompson

Did your Father give any indication of the name of 'Raymond's' Mother?

If your Father knew that 'Raymond' moved south, then they were in touch for many years?

Could you just confirm the years when you think 'Raymond' may have been born (or the age range of your Father)?

Am I correct in assuming that they were not married?

Pretty sure that's my dad yes, he died in 08 my dad married my mum , don't think he married Raymond's mum, he never said if they were in touch have feeling they wernt, I'm the only child of my mum and dad together, it was never mentioned about Raymond, my dad just said his mum stayed in Newcastle Raymond moved on, something must have been said when my dads brother died as that was the only time he was mentioned, I didn't know about him either my dads brother died in westerhope Newcastle that's where he lived was few years before my dad died, I'm 42 1975 so be older than me I assume that's correct as when dad told me said Raymond had a grown up daughter, sorry that's all I know thank you for reading

If name , and place correct , in time period stated only two possibilities , births 1966 and 1971 , have sent PM .

There appear to be several Raymonds born in Newcastle from 1963 to 1975 that have the same mmn and surname, I do not see how you have isolated just 2 possible births.

Thanks Patchem missed the two in 1965 , there are some that are registered twice in mother`s maiden name and father`s .

Update found him thanks to Kenneth, I'm in touch with him now. <3
