Is anyone able to assist with locating Celia or providing up to date info about her or her family/relatives.
Celia was born in Nottingham in 1950.
Her parents were Ron Mirfin & Daphne Mirfin [nee Killingley] & @ the time of Celia's birth I believe resided @ 48 Langley Ave Arnold Nottingham.
There was an older brother Nicholas who I believe was born in 1946.

The family may have moved to South Africa in the 1950's.

My mother corresponded with Daphne her cousin, her auntie's Millie & Flo & uncle Ernest from 1936 & throughout WW2 till the early 1950's.

Shirley - If we can find contact details for one of Nicholas' immediate relatives, they may know where Celia is.
Its more than likely that she now has a married name.
That's why the details of his death reg and probate were posted.

Its more straight forward for us to order UK records than ones from South Africa, for instance a copy of Celia's mother's Will.

Ah ok I had to reread the opening enquiry to see he was the elder brother of Celia

Only seeing his birth and death on FMP no travel info

Maybe if he did marry it was in South Africa

According to right move that house was last sold in 2007

But there are several valuations back to 2002 when it was possible sold after Nicholas died

Thank you so much for the info provided.
There are a number of leads/threads I can follow.
I had thought that Celia would be a good start to find out more about other family members & any children she or Nicholas may have had however I may have to have a rethink.

Also I have to apologize for my mistake with Celia's name.
I looked back through the letters from Daphne, Celia's mother & on the 8th March 1950 she wrote, ".....had a little daughter on March 3rd - exactly a fortnight overdue". "... we are going to christen her Celia Denise & of course this doesn't meet with approval".
Apparently one of the aunties disagreed with the names Ron & Daphne had chosen.
