thanks for your help Kath this is my grandmother and grandfather on there wedding cerf.Joseph Ryles was put as father of the bride she has a cousin Sarah Ryes she work in the jute mill in Barrow-in-Furness Elizabeth and Alexander got married in Barrow as well on 29th july 1886 on Maud cerf. her wintness were Robert Treen and Eiizabeth Ann Hutchinson l do not know any more about my grandmother or grandfather as my mother her brother and sister are all died so l can not get any more about them Janet Zschorn |

my grandmother was born in Barrow-in-Furness in 1879 her mother was Elizabeth Dewar nee Ryles she was born in Bury my grandmother mother was Maud Ryles as they did not get married until later Janet Zschorn |

Your previous thread says her mother was unmarried when Maud was born so "Joseph" could have been a made up name. |

What was your Grandmother's name and when was she born? Not seeing a marriage for a female Ryles in the Blackpool area in 1907. |
