There is also Father Hudson catholic run homes in and around Birmingham.

The city council also ran local authority childrens homes.

A couple that were in Erdington.

Josiah Mason which closed in 1966 and Erdington Cottage Homes,which closed probally l970s.

Both of which will have a closure time on records if they have survived,according to one report J Masons records were destroyed by Social Services.but the Old Masonians reportldy have list of past residents.

You will need to find contact details for both, try Erdington Library or Birmingham Archives may have pointers,

Though unless you are trying to trace a sibling or you're a proven parent any information possibly wont be given on a persons stay there,any record details will or could be on a living person who comes under the data protection.
