Frances married Joseph Payne 1951 Greenwich Kent

The family story is they emigrated to Australia and then to NZ.

I can find them living in Aukland NZ in 1969, 1972 and 1978 electoral roll but nothing else

That's because NZ BMD & other records have a longer closure to UK ones.

Of course, there's always the possibility that they are still living.

You could contact the NZ ask a librarian service. Give them the details you have as they may be able to trace them forward.

A GR member list a Frances Miles b1930 England. Have you contacted her to see if they are related?
