perhaps joyce married again there are a lot Howell-jones marriages so not easy to find if they had any children

If the Roy T Howell on the Birmingham electoral register is the correct one, then he married again to Brenda- he's not with Joyce.

(looking at the Birmingham electoral register it looks like Roy and Joyce separated in the early 1960s)
