I was wondering if anybody could help me. I am trying to find Elaine Baxter (maiden name) the daughter of Sidney Baxter and Iris nee Cunningham. She was born in Conway, Wales in first quarter 1944. Finding her would help fill the missing piece of our family tree.

Have you looked to see if she had any siblings

Have you followed through on her parents .found deaths etc .

She could possibly be the informant on any death certificate

hi Shirley, I cannot trace Iris Cunningham at all! Sidney Baxter died in 1992, but he was married to someone else then. Elaine had a brother who died in infancy in 1941, in Liverpool.

Elaine Baxter has a tree on here - probably born at the end of 1943 and registered in 1944.

Have you tried to contact her?

Possible marriage in Liverpool in 1961 for Elaine, and then she and husband in Runcorn on free electoral rolls - about 3 addresses show for possible Elaine, 1 for Elaine plus husband, so husband may have died. Or actual different people.

Looks like Sydney/Sidney remarried in 1948.

Elaine also has Iris Cunningham in her tree.

Sidney was actually born a Bentley, but when he was 8months old, his mother died and he was adopted by the Baxter family, hence the change of surname. He used to hyphenate it so is actually Bentley-Baxter! Sidney did remarry in 1948, then went on to have 5 more children. He also had a liaison and another child was born in 1947.
