Mary married in 1959 but her husband d isn't a Brian Cox
He is Cox but not Brian

Simone, you search there for Mary Lawless who married Cox, and when you click on the page number it shows you his name. We don't put personal info on this board about people who may be living since it shows up on internet searches and they may not want to be talked about on the internet.

You can look for the other sisters marrying too.

Simone please do try to be clear when you post. You put the list of names Doris Mary and Francis and Joyce but it was not at all clear that these were the names of your dad's sisters, for instance ... or even whether Doris Mary is one person or two (they are two people but the way you wrote it looks like one person named 'Doris Mary'). And always give an idea of when the people you were looking for were born.

I may have first name wrong she has children called Francis Maurice Brendan and Suzanne

The comma is a useful tool.

If they were four children, they are

Francis, Maurice, Brendan and Suzanne

edit - oops - the name in the births index is spelt 'Brendon' rather than Brendan -- Brendon J

Maurice P was on the electoral roll in Preston but only to 2013 and there is no current telephone listing at BT on line

there was a Francis G on the electoral roll in Blackburn but again no current listing ...

It is unfortunate that the records for the four daughters are the ones that are 'closed' on the 1939 household record

it could mean they are still living, but it could mean they died after 1991 when the register stopped being updated

the reason we can see the sons' names is that they are deceased

if we could see their names, we would see their exact birth dates, and that would probably make it possible to find their death records, if they are deceased, under their married names (which could be difficult to find otherwise) ... and then find births of their children

but we can't see that info ...


I would guess that Frances married in 1965 in Nelson Lancs

If that is her marriage, she is on the current electoral roll
