im looking for a bit of info on vera may lacey she married a samuel john mee in ilkiston derbyshire in 1945 and dont seem to be able to find anything else her .she has a daughter leslie ann mee 1949 in nottingham and as far i know her and samuel lived in stapleford nottingham .vera has deinatly passed but cant find her death record or her birth so completley stuck

Well their marriage cert will give her age ,and father's name if known

If she has passed away it may be after the online records are available they go to c 2006/7 but aren't complete for both those years

yeah i think its more than likey her but cant understand where the middle names gone i understand that when you register a death that sometimes thing can get missed off or easy to get things wrong but i would of thought it would of defo been on her birth records

you need to know her age at marriage and her dads name to find the right birth .

sometimes people add names or get known by their second name etc

for instance my paternal gran was Emma Ann her second husband called her Annie and he registered two of their children s births and put her name as Annie because that was how he knew her

cert info is only as good as the informants knowledge
