Oh, I realy doubt that - 14 years later, and only the paper would have had that info.

Is a funeral home named? there might be some record of who is responsible for the interment/grave ...

This is the facility

http://www.menarock.com.au/residential-care/high-care/murrayvale-aged-care

someone might remember her or have some kind of record

Following a contact of Joonie Cloonie and a tip off to a McMaster, I was put onto the Gippsland Historical Society who have been extraordinily helpful. Thanks to some diligent work they found a living son of Albert Norman McMaster who was younger brother of Ivy Elizabeth. He vaguely remembers her existence but also has 3 brothers who may well know more. If this fails, there are apparently several more siblings of Albert to follow up! Amazing.
Thanks again
Bill

So now he's Albert Norman not Albert Donald McMaster :-)

I have got lost in a sea of McMasters, but at least you have found your best possible source it seems!

just because we are always curious, which contact of mine was it that panned out? and someone tipped you off to the McMaster in question?

OOPS! It was Donald not Norman.

On checking, I see that the tip off was via Argyiigran & not you. Sorry. This is all geting to me.
Will not post until I hear from Bruce McMaster In Windang.
Thanks yet again.

I assume that was the contact with Ancestry tree-owner Dianne Anderson, Bill.

Glad it worked out!

Yes it was. She put in some good work in finding McMasters. However the ones found were not connected but one put me onto the Historical Society which has proved very helpful. I am passing any info on to Dianne in case it will help her.

My search for MacDonald Scott is over!
The Salvation Army found him in New Zealand where he was born in 1940.
Suffice it to say he knows little of his parents but is very happy to be in touch and to find out more about his geneology.
So, the years of research eventually paid off and I owe thanks to so many people who offered information and general help along the way.
Thank you Genes Reunited people for helping me to find my first Cousin and the chance to find out more of William J W Scott & Ivy Elizabeth MacMaster.

What excellent news William - a brand new first cousin, that's not something a lot of us can come up with!

(I did find some brand new uncles of my dad, his father's half-brothers whom my dad had never known of, but unfortunately both my dad and the uncles are deceased ... and children of the two uncles whom I contacted through this site - so yes my dad's first cousins although my age - were not at all interested in new family)

btw, it does seem that the deaths I posted back in April

New Zealand death index

1971/47377
Scott Ivy Elizabeth
age 59Y >> matches dob 1912

1973/28011
Scott William John AKA John William
age 70Y

were your Ivy and her husband, then, since NZ is where your cousin was born and is now

but you didn't get the death certificate after all I guess to confirm what could have been useful info ...

Lucky the SA did find him, maybe they checked the death certificates :-)
