Look on FreeBMD Michelle. His birth is reg in the first quarter of 1959 which would fit with a Dec birth .

He seems to have possibly have two brothers

Not seeing a marrige for his parents so it's possibly in Scotland records are on Scot,ands People

Would suggest you buy his birth cert for his parents names

Wonder if Michelle might mean Forster and not Foster.

There's a birth for James registered in the first quarter of 1958 which doesn't fit with the date Michelle gave.
