to find a birth with the two parents' surnames, to see whether a Walter was born at the right time with those parents

of course there may be more than one possible marriage for his father's name since the surname is common, but it should be possible to work it out that way

hi sorry just getting used to this. my name is Emma hollies will change my board name and that marriage is correct he was married to Kathleen wood. I couldn't find it though. I don't have any certificates for him because when he died he was estranged from his family. I couldn't even tell you who his next of kin was.

When & who did he marry ? The cert should name his father if known

I am looking for any information about the Wood family from Goole East Yorkshire. My grandfather was Walter Frederick Wood born 20 Seprember1928 and died 26 February 1992. I never met him and we have no information about any of his family.
